This us the first book I ever tried reading without hearing anything about it first. It was amazing. Finished it in one day. One of the best I’ve read in a while. Wont be disappointed

Rich world building.
Consistent internal logic.
Realistic characters with relatable drives.

I’ll add that despite a bleak world it’s not a demoralizing or crushing experience.
Not something to read if you want to revel in misery like The Road or On the Beach.
