64Kbit M4B equals the quality of 128Kbit MP3. The quality is very close to the original Audible quality on the highest setting there.

BTW, something you should try, is to check your player’s equalizer’s preset for various music style, etc, just see if there’s some setting for “podcast”, or “talk-how” (maybe also voice/acapella, or even 0for Audiobook, especially if it is a newer deck or a home entertainment system, like MINE does, and it REALLY SHOWS,makes difference, when I am playing my a-books on it, both on a 6+1 and onn my headphones!:) Oh, ye, of course - give it a try if you are playing your audiobooks from your pc/laptop! I remember, even the good old Winamp.. IF you remember that SW;), got a… NOT BAD preset, I think it wa the one for ‘Talk-radio’ was the one I wa using for a-books, back then.. almot 20 year ago, >15, for sure!;)// But I alo recall I lik ed a couple others, maybe ‘open hall’, and/or ‘live’, I’ve forgotten, sorry..) . But, yeah, definitely give those preset a try, they do work, you may be surprised, even if you are using nothing but a pair of standard speakers for PC!.. And, BTW, to make it clear, ‘Winamp’ is NOT the player that I am recommending you /;)/, and players, on a computer, do matter, and ome are /much/ better than others, both for audio and video, too!.. And so do for other hardware, incl. phones! For the other, like car ‘radios’, the choice you’d have is definitely smaller, but they also got their Settings, you could choose from, to make your listening experience as better as possible.. bc YOU DESSERVE IT, AND NOTHING LESS!xD
